†• Phobia Study •†
Mine? There are two that are very hard to live with for me. Phobias and fears are different. I am afraid to die, I think of every way it could happen and it scares me, but it's not a phobia, it doesn't affect how I run my life. I have 3 phobias, two are so much worse than the other, but they really have more control over my life than I do.
My not so bad phobia is clowns, it is not as bad as the other two, but it is bad. I refuse to look at them even, they really bother me so much to the point of crying. I don't know where it started, most people don't know how they got their phobias. I refuse to take my son to the circus, if he wants to go I don't think I will be able to go. Unless I can hide from the clowns. The other two I don't know which is worse, one I am faced with way more than the other. Unless it is close to or is summer. That one is moths, well it is more than just that, it is also birds, I think it is the fluttering. I am not afraid of butterflies at all, but I don't think of them as fluttering. I seriously run from birds and moths, I can really freak out. I went to a pet store to buy our ferret a new cage, there was this bird out, little bird, flying around, I freaked! I walked about half way around the store to avoid it. I told one of the people who worked there, they told me they couldn't get it back in the cage. I hurried out of there...
My last one is inclosed spaces, I want to keep it away from the termanology since some people don't know what they
are by their names. It is to the point that if the lights are out, I fell the same, I think things are closing in and I really
can't breathe. I can't go to some stores if I think that the isles are too thin, I won't go down an isle that has too many
people. When I drive on the highway and I have a big vehicle, like a semi truck, next to me and a K-rail on the other
side, it kicks in. I always have to have a window in my truck opened a bit, gets hard when it is cold, or raining or snowing.
It would also affect me if I was to be on a glass bottomed boat and I got on the glass part and layed face down and looked
at the water, I would have the same feeling. I get that way in crowed places, the blankets can't ever be too close
to my face when I sleep or try to sleep. I think this one may be worse, because it is there everyday and I do think
this is something that has gotten so out of hand, I think if your phobia is like this, I would say it is time to get help.
